     Winter Newsletter

        I trust you will be able to reset your personal rythyms to the new energies coming in this year, after an exhausting 2016.  2017 is a "One" year, which means new beginnings.  We all have a chance to reset the buttons on our personal lives, and contribute to the greater harmony in society.

       I often feel the fatigue of everyone at the end of any year, as we try to accomplish so much in the time allotted. I am currently in silence for this week, a custom I have adhered to for about 20 years, and really look forward to this special quiet time every New Year. After holiday socializing, my husband has learned to enjoy this down time as well, occasionally writing me notes, when he feels the need to share.

      During this silence, I take care of my rabbit, and since rabbits make no noise, what more could I ask for? Over the years, our Golden Retriever Christabel has made friends with several of my rabbits, including the one below, named Jaara (Aboriginal name), whom I left with a lovely couple in Australia:

Christabel is now 13 years old, and having been born in Perth and having swum in three oceans, we feel lucky that she is still with us. Although slowing down, she still manages to take long daily walks.

      Since I wrote the last newsletter, we didn't anticipate that the whole southeastern portion of the United States would soon be in serious drought.  So after leveling a large area behind our home, we used the remaining numerous rocks in the back yard to complete a project that I really wanted – a stone fire-pit, for a gorgeous, new social gathering area. Within weeks, we used the pit to entertain friends, and we are so happy that we have completed the landscaping behind the house, which backs onto the national forest.

       But until the rains came in early December, the whole of the Southeast experienced multi-state fires. So Ron and I suffered from smoky conditions for a few weeks, and had to stay close to home to make sure no fires were set nearby. When the rain put out the fires, though, and our truck’s engine was repaired, we hitched up the new camper-trailer for the first time, on a successful, short trip to nearby Asheville.  There we learned how to make the camper’s equipment functional, including taking a hot shower, just like home. Even getting away for three nights was a major vacation and has given us a feeling of freedom to enjoy more of the sights in this part of the country.

        In Seraphim Blueprint news, the Seraph Space Cleanse is now available along with the Seraura Aroma Cleanse personal spray.  Here is what Alex wrote about the larger new bottle:

        Meanwhile our intention of opening the Seraphim Blueprint in new countries is coming to fruition.  We have recently received Teacher-Training applications from students in England, France, Holland and Cyprus. Several of these students will be trained in Las Vegas in late May, just following our Festival at the Renaissance Hotel.

          The Las Vegas Festival

     Seraphim Blueprint Teacher Brenda Calvin wrote the other day: 

"The excitement is building! We are getting very excited here in Las Vegas about hosting the upcoming Seraphim Blueprint International Festival. We are making plans to bring you the most amazing experience together with your Seraphim Blueprint family worldwide. You do not want to miss this! May is around the corner now. Until March 15th, you still have time to take advantage of the lower registration fee of $195. Maybe this is your special gift to yourself this holiday season! As of March 16th, the fee will increase to $275."

     You can likely find special hotel/flight packages at other Las Vegas hotels closer to the event, but the group rate for a Renaissance Deluxe Room is still $119.00 (before taxes).  Call +1-800-750-0980 for any special reservation requests, and identify yourself as a member of the Seraphim Blueprint Group. If when you call you find that the current block of rooms is sold out, please notify me right away, so I can negotiate for an extra block of rooms for our group, hopefully still at a discounted rate.

       I am still thinking about deepening everyone's experiences by holding meditative retreats, sans course content, both at Seraphim Hollow and elsewhere. If we can, we will incorporate such into the schedule following the Las Vegas Festival. There is no new information regarding this at this time, but if interested, please contact me.

        We are pleased to announce a Level 1, 2 & 3 Teacher-Training Course to be held in conjunction with the Las Vegas Festival, on the Tuesday and Wednesday (May 30th-31st) following the Festival in the Las Vegas area.  This Course is open to all international students who understand  spoken English and have completed other requirements including the Seraph's approval. 	Solar Eclipse & Galaxy Course Event
	On Monday, August 21st, 2017, Macon County, North Carolina is on the path of totality for a solar eclipse for about 2 1/2 minutes.  Ruth will be hosting this event at her home, followed by a two-day Seraphic Tour of the Galaxy Course on the 22nd and 23rd.  Since area hotels will fill up quickly, it is not too soon to make your intention to attend known to Ruth. Staying at Seraphim Hollow will first be reserved for overseas guests who cannot drive in America.  If others, who can drive, wish to attend, we will need to reserve area motel rooms for the nights of the 20th - 23rd almost immediately.  As you all may know, Ruth rarely teaches the Galaxy Course, so take advantage of this unusual opportunity.  There are no prerequisites for this course.                                 Contact:  ruthestar at gmail.com
